unnoticed
one vanished
on 3rd avenue.
replaced,
i took heed...
of their patterns,
functions,
urban caparisons.
manhole machinations,
capillaries
and synapses
course below
our streets.

we live
and work
in skyscraper
straddled streets
oblivious
and unmindful
of the conduits
beneath
the city's
concrete skin.
